The Virtual Hub

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, my team and I developed a virtual conferencing software that businesses, organizations, and individuals could use to conduct meetings, conferences, and other events online. Our software is customizable and designed to be user-friendly, reliable, and secure, and we incorporated a range of features such as screen sharing, recording, and live streaming.

To ensure that our software met users' needs, we refined it after each event based on user feedback and analytics. This allowed us to identify areas for improvement and make changes to the software that would enhance the user experience. We also worked closely with our customers to understand their needs and requirements and incorporated their feedback into the software design.

Our virtual conferencing software has been a tremendous success for businesses, organizations, and individuals worldwide.

Overview
During the pandemic, a client approached me to develop a user-friendly web application for their upcoming virtual conference. Dissatisfied with the limited features and poor user experience of other software available in the market, they sought my expertise. While the initial version of the application was simple, it proved intuitive for both the conference attendees and organizers. Over the course of two years, we continued to refine the web application with each subsequent event, ultimately culminating in a premium product that offered extensive customization and an outstanding user experience.

Testing/Analytics
I collaborated with Executivevents, an event planning company, to develop the application. With over 300 events organized annually, they utilized the Virtual Hub for multiple conferences during the first year of our partnership. This allowed us to accumulate valuable experience and insights into users' needs, enabling us to offer the best possible user experience. Leveraging detailed analytics, we identified shortcomings and drop-offs, which in turn helped clients make informed decisions to optimize their events.

Design/Customization
The final application design was very customizable, allowing clients to upload their logos, add colors and graphics, and choose from many native and third-party tools.

Outcome
The demand for virtual event software has decreased as in-person events come back. Nonetheless, we still have clients actively utilizing the software we developed. The process of building and enhancing the web application for a span of over two years proved to be invaluable. It allowed me to gain extensive knowledge in software development, user testing, accessibility, and data-driven decision-making.
